A message from Michael G. Reagan

Dear all,

Can one of you forward this message onto the Gold Star list for me? I try and send a message to each family once in a while but now that I'm near 700 portraits thats become very difficult. But still very important. here it is.

Thanks.

Dear Family,

Three years ago Cherise Johnson contacted me and asked about a portrait of her husband Michael, he had been killed in the war. I did it for her for free as a sign of my respect for her loss. Once she received her husbands portrait she called me to let me know how important it was to her. We spent 20 minutes talking. That was almost 700 "free" Fallen Hero portraits ago. This project has changed my life. Its Mother's Day and I want all of you to know how I feel, its just that I don't have the words I want to use.

Those of you that have received your portraits know because of that. Those of you that haven't yet just know I will be available to do yours as a sign of my Love and Respect for as long as it takes. I do understand how painful this is for your families. But I just want you to know I care!

I have made a pledge and that is "to never forget your loved ones". For Mother's Day all I can give you is my complete adoration, dedication and love. I am here for you!!

With Love and Respect, Mike (USMC K3/4 Nam 67&68 DMZ)
