I have now finished all the books written by Herman Wouk. The last was a satire called Aurora Dawn and it was by far my least favorite. However, at his worst, he cannot begin to be as low as the one I am reading now. This one is called Flesh and Bones by Jefferson Bass. It will never cease to amaze me how much an atheist really hates to come across anything that calls for a belief in God. He gives all the scientific reasons that make him such an expert in the field of evolution. This is one book that I would not recommend to anyone unless they have a good Bible background. In the first place, he calls creation "Dumb Design." He bases this on the fact of the teeth in mammals millions of years ago. I recently reported that the smartest scientist in the world through out history believed in a creator. Einstein said that nature proved over and over again that there is a master designer. He said that it was not miracles that proved it to him, but rather the fact that nature followed such a perfect set of rules and that it could never have been something less than Intelligent Design, nevertheless, I do thoroughly enjoy forensic science.
The author is the one who gave birth to the famous Body Farm in Tennessee. It is really amazing how brilliant someone can be in one area and yet so completely void of the slightest understanding concerning the Word of God. Mr. Bass’s credentials fall significantly below that of Albert Einstein. We are supposed to have evolved from four-legged creatures into something much less suited to the environment than when we jumped from tree to tree. Oh well, it seems to be that this kind of literature becomes more entrenched in society, which the Bible tells us will happen. Here is the thing I find hard to understand. If I am wrong then I will never know it. If Mr. Bass is wrong then he will burn in hell. Why take a chance on eternity? If anyone asks you what is different in our design than that of the animal forefathers they believe in, it is this. Human blood has a clotting factor that is missing in the entire animal kingdom. We are flesh of His Flesh and Blood of His Blood. Also it is not meant that we understand. It is a question of faith. Faith has no place in science. Science is pure theory, which is no fact at all, but just speculation.
I finally looked up Al Sharpton’s credentials for the use of the term “Reverend.” He said that he preached his first sermon at the age of four. He became an ordained minister at the age of nine years. How utterly ridiculous.
