I don't suppose there is anything we can do about those who are literally traitors to their country. I speak of course about Danny Glover, Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore, and Harry Bellefonte. Oh there are many more but what is the use of even bringing it up? Who cares about the little Ms. Porn Sheehan gave to the communist dictator Hugo Chavez? Her little ploy for fame will go down the tubes as soon as the investigation into the ‘money gone missing’ from Camp Cody is completed. Old Harry Bellefonte is like so many others in the entertainment business, jut give them a little press time and listen to their anti-American ranting. Just so the beat goes on, he doesn't care. But when it comes to Michael Moore—that hits a little too close to home for me to ignore.
I remember too well the Cuban Missile Crisis. I remember the time that Cuba was an important tourism capital. I saw the pictures of my grandmother and grandfather on a big ship making its way to Cuba. I remember well, my Aunt Pearlie having a record that my brother Bennie and I loved, titled Cuba. I'm on my way to Cuba, that's where I'm going, Cuba that's where I'll stay. Yes these lyrics really were something that I loved. That was then and this is now. President John F. Kennedy came very close to having us in a nuclear war. Fidel Castro had allowed the communist dictator to establish a missile base with the weapons aimed straight at our shores. Gary was just a baby and my girls had barely started to school when I sat with them gathered around me, knowing that any minute, it could be the last breath we would ever take. Right after that day, the entire country started building bomb shelters. Hiroshima and Nagasaki would look like a fourth of July fireworks display in comparison to what we in the United States would have suffered. Castro did the same thing then that Hugo Chavez has done now; he has seized all American owned property as well as all property belonging to any other country. He has also seized all of the assets of the people of that country. If there is anyway that the people can get out of that country, more power to them. They elect these idiots in an election and then run for our borders so that the Americans can shield them from their own actions.
There was a period in our history when the United States ran a special hearing called the House of Un-American Activities. Nothing ever really came of it, as far as I know. It was really about a scandal and in Washington DC it was no different then from now. Life with scandals mostly does nothing but cover its own hind-end as well as possible. I think John F. Kennedy was a great president. Sure, he was a rounder and under his administration we came so close to nuclear annihilation that within minutes the world we know would have ceased to exist. We, the North American Continent. It was the same enemies then as now, Russia being the main one. The great ally to us during World War II and those that decry the war now. Accuse us of having attacked a country who had not invaded our country. Wake up American voter. We also did the same with Germany and Italy. It is always the same thing. I will state here that I believe something is going on right now that will explode at any minute. There is something more going on for the Congress and Senate to walk away from the fight to withhold money and equipment from our troops. To slink back to their home state with less than a whimper. This is just not the way it goes. This is show time and our House and Congress are the stars. I believe with all my heart that the end is near. I am not being an alarmist here. Something has got to give. The immovable force has met the irresistible object. As the old song goes, Something's Got to Give. I hope George Bush has the courage to stand his ground ... our ground ... as John F. Kennedy stood during the Cuban Missile Crisis. I pray that he does.
SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
P.S. I wish we would prevent Danny Glover from coming back here but just watch he will receive an Oscar for the Best Motion Picture. Grrr
