How's every little thing?

Isn't the tiny bit of blue in these pictures beautiful?

I got someone to snap these photos for me while I was at Dad’s today. This tree was located closely behind his apartment, and hopefully you can see it’s been uprooted. This is from the storm last night. Winds around here got up to 93 miles. Someone in Tatum lost their roof and their home was set on fire from falling high line wires. One of Dad’s neighbors said he heard over the radio that we did have a tornado touch down here, but I’m not sure about that yet. We certainly may have; there were three or four more trees like this at Chaparral Park.

Unlike us, Dad didn’t lose his electricity.

Don’t worry if you don’t get all the limbs picked up today. Another storm is due in this evening.

Please take care, De'on, and may God keep you all safe while the weather is so unsettled.

We're waiting on thunderstorms up here, but so far it's only windy. The gusts are approx. 51 to 57 mph; which is nothing compared to where you are.

I'm glad that your father is okay, and hope that he remains so 'til the weather clears.

Thank you. We're all safe here and it may miss us. I love electrical storms, but I know they can be brutal. But still beautiful.

We shouldn't get to chummy with much, when mother nature decides to visit you can never know what may be taken away in a flash. Mom calls it God's pruning. Our trees didn't get up-rooted, but we sure had some tree limbs split. Isn't it wild how tree limbs can split and your ole city trash can sitting out can still be standing. That always amazes me. I love nature. I sure heard the birds discussing their stories as I walked around looking at the property this morning, all their nests had blown down, that is sad.

It is. Greg put a bird back up in the tree today. It was on our porch, a baby.

It is all amazing. Motherhood.

Well, braindead me --on my way to bed. An early night will do us all good I bet. Night night.

When the storms blew through Brownfield, the winds were at 70 miles an hour. Luckily, all of our trees survived, but others were not so lucky. Seminole got the worst of it, winds at 97 miles an hour and alot of damage to trees and structures. It even blew an eighteen wheeler over in the Walmart parking lot! It's been a wild and wooley spring and summer!
Deborah, it's great to hear the weather from Canada. I would love to hear more about your "neck of the woods".
Well, busy week at work and I'm getting ready for more company this weekend! Esther from Alamagordo, Randy and Debbie from Jacksburow(sp?)and Martin and Julie from Lubbock. Hopefully, I can go and get Kayla later on in the week to come and stay for a few days. Yeah, vacation!

Yea! Karen! Vacation. And tell everyone hello for me. I'd love to see Esther.

I saw your dad yesterday. He came by Dad's yesterday.

I heard about Seminole. And it's neat to hear about Canada, I agree.

BTW, VB's comment was mine, though I'm sure you guessed. I was still signed in with her name.

All is well here.
