Hello Everybody!

Just a quick note to let everyone know I’m still in physical form! This is the first time I’ve been at my computer in days, but I do have a lot of the grass and miniscule elm trees pulled out of my yard as well as Dad pulled out of the house. I’m getting quite handy at lifting his wheelchair into my 4 Runner and I may well be back to looking like a midget wrestler before too much longer! Dad hasn’t mastered (nor tried…) the use of the 2-wheeler as of yet, so I pushed him in Wal Mart and pulled his cart! But it was good to have him out looking down the aisles himself instead of trying to think of something that sounded good. Greg and I also took Weston for pizza and to the movies tonight, so I’m beat.

John and Jenn, it was great to hear from you and I’m anxious to check out the personal emails I have because I know I will get to see some of the state of California with Semper Fi Mom.

I miss you guys, but am starting to feel better than I have in months. I will also take up oil painting soon. My creations will have to of course be somewhat abstract as I haven’t the faintest talent for drawing. And I know nothing about oil painting either, but I’ve wanted to try it for a while.

Cady, Hen, and Isaac join me for coffee on the porch for about an hour every morning. We have a little family of Bluejays in number 2 pecan tree. We discovered them with the event of Cady being in the tree. After a few times, I let her take her little punches for a bit with the new parents and she doesn’t try for that tree anymore, however, there are still the other two trees. It’s busy out in the yard with her. Weed pulling takes forever. Speaking of kittens, Mom has been adopted by a new kitten about the age of Cady. She’s a long hair Calico and is beautiful.

And speaking of beautiful animals, I think Michael Vick should rot in hell for what he’s done. Just my opinion, but I think he’s no better than someone who harms any helpless victim. There is just no soul there. There’s not much to say as I listen to mine snoring, reaching an arthritic old age and perhaps dreaming of a walk. My Pit, the one who slept next to Aaron and now sleeps next to a kitten. And yet Hen is the one thought of as an animal and he shows more compassion than someone thought of as human—as great. It sickens me.

Well, I should stop before I turn into VB and go off about the possibility of Rosie O’ Donnell sporting a recurring role on Friday Night Lights! Odessa, Texas and Rosie? Please. I’ve never watched the show, but it just goes to show what Hollywood can do to help spice up Texas.

Maybe I shouldn’t have turned on my computer! LOL! Ooh, but I had better get to bed. Two trips to Hobbs tomorrow and a baby shower this weekend. I just had to walk out that door, huh?

I really want to get around to the blogs and read what everyone has been up to, but probably not before Monday. Next week should be calmer. Too many appointments this week for much extra.

Semper Fi Mom: let me know when the cookbooks are in.

My eyes are too crossed to check for type O’s or dumbness in sentence structure, but wanted to say hello to everyone and tell Chantal I’m glad she’s back and we’re loving the dance show, though Greg is currently on boycott because of Shawna.

Also, the ongoing saga of kitchen construction and Monopoly continues. Greg is currently kicking my butt in both!

Semper Fi,
De’on

Hello, Hello, Hello De`on! Yes, gardening is good for everything including weeding as it allows us to rip and tear...but with a positive outcome.

I, too, hope that Mr. Vick is prosecuted to the full extent of the law AND tossed from the NFL. It seems that for some people having a God-given talent, a huge salary, and public adoration just aren`t enough. However, he`ll have plenty of time to answer to God for the unspeakable horrors he inflicted on those innocent dogs. It really does break the heart as Stafforshires, Bull Terriers, and 'Pit Bulls' are such gentle, loyal, and wonderful creatures.

Glad to know that you`re having some fun out of the summer. Take care.

Veritas et Fidelis Semper

It's good to see a post from you! I'm with you on the Vick mess; I hope he rots in prison for a few years first though.

Semper Fi,

John

Dearest De'on.....I'm back and full of P & V. Sorry again for the long delay. On the whole Vick thing I actually was pretty infuriated with ESPN the other day because within the same ten minute span they covered Michael Vick in court and then were doing a little History on Ted Williams. You should never, never, never, have those two people in the same breath. Ted Williams was a baseball hero and a Marine Fighter Pilot War Hero in Korea, then went back to baseball and continues to be the "Iron Horse". Michael Vick is a spoiled little degenerate punk kid.......They just shouldn't put those stories so close together. Sorry.....but it really got me going.
