I got a chance to see T. Boone Pickens on TV last night and it was about this million dollar challenge and John Kerry. I cannot think for the life of me how someone like Kerry can go up against someone like Pickens. Here is a wimp against the brains behind really deep pockets. A pea shooter against a rocket. I was really anxious to find out about what Mr. Pickens felt about the record of John Kerry and his war service. He too questioned the part of Kerry throwing medals away and having the same medals in the office to show off. Sometime if we just would look at a common sense answer and not go into all the other crap, we would be far better off. That brings me to Obama and his record with me.
Right after he [Obama] started to run for president, he had an assistant go down and pay $300 worth of parking tickets and laughed and said it was no big deal. I listened to his speech at the Democratic Convention and was very impressed. I even told Jerry that I thought he would be president someday. Well, I am a stickler about the little things. The things that are illegal and yet no big deal is a dumb-ass statement. For people who need $300 to pay the rent, it is a mighty big deal. Now I recognize that Obama is low on the food chain in Washington politics, but make no mistake, he has a warped view. I know he has a book out called The Audacity of Hope. How about The Audacity of Gall? If Obama had gotten a speeding ticket for $300, I could accept that. You have to work to get $300 in parking tickets. You have to feel above the law. The thing is that no one is above the law on the little things like parking tickets and library fines. That is the guideline for my world. Don't tell me what you can do in the big arena of life when you cannot be trusted to do your part in a polite society.
In the grocery store last week I had a cart overflowing and reached the checkout stand just a little ahead of a woman who had a couple of things in her hand. I stepped back and she said no, you were first. I laughed and pointed to her cart and mine. She laughed too and went on through the line. If you can learn grocery store manners 101, then I am just saying, Obama is off. Now I have to dig further for a Democratic candidate. I may have to do a write-in vote for Al Sharpton.
