I was home on PCS leave...
heading for D.C. whoo hoo!
Writings and musings on the eccentric beauty of sacrifice. Come journey and write with us. We are family and friends resolved to capture something positive in a troubled world and laugh when we can along the way. This, then, is dedicated in Loving Memory to LCpl. Aaron C. Who are these young, skinny people?! If that's really me, I am in the company of a few of my favorite "boys"! Such good times!
Gary is that tea?ha
Lisa
Gary was surely drinking tea. This photo was taken at Mrs. Cunningham's house (Dad's mother-in-law) who lived right across the street from Mom in Littlefield.
Left to right: Bradley (Dad's wife's grandson), Aaron, Zach, Gary and Karen.
All very skinny people! ;)
For those of you who do not know: Dad was married to Arlene for 11 years before she died in her fifties with cancer. She was diagnosed when I was home on leave from WRAIR one summer. She died while I was in Panama. It was the love of a lifetime for Dad and Arlene. He never remarried after he lost her. When we went through his stuff, he had her jewelry and makeup bag kept in his top drawer. The place of his treasures.
Oh, Lord, I miss him. I bet he's happy though, being with Arlene, Aaron, MaMa, PaPa,Aunt Frances, Zane... more are there than here!
