FEMALE ON THE FLOOR! Panama; Paitilla Airport

Paitilla Airport was the scene of fierce fighting. A special combat unit of U.S. Navy "SEALS" (Sea Air and Land unit) had the task of securing the International Airport in the heart of Panama City, used mainly for light aircraft and domestic airlines, to prevent PDF landing reinforcements there and to ensure that General Noriega did not escape in his executive jet. Four SEALS died in the action. Soldier from the 82nd Airborne Div. regards the wreckage of a light aircraft.
General Noriega's Jet was going nowhere under its own power.
A number of private aircraft were damaged.
