Surely everyone remembers Berkeley. You know that city by the bay. The home of the University of California and several preparatory schools. Here in the desert country, our preparatory schools are Future Homemakers and Future Farmers of America. If you are from San Francisco area you may want to get up off the floor and stop your hysterical laughter. I agree in this atmosphere being so far removed from the reality show that is taught at the University of California, or for that matter, many other institutions of higher learning across the country, but if you want to be Way Cool Dude then the city by the bay wherein you left your heart is the place to be. They turned out such luminaries as Taliban Johnny Walker, the Poster Child for Bin Laden. This is the beloved hometown of Prissy Pelosi where she gave birth to her five children. It is headquarters to that sweet little click full of grown men who want to take little boys twelve and over the joy of being a grown man’s little lover.
Taliban Johnny Walker was in his teens when his dad just gave up on having a marriage and took his lover and they jumped out of the closet together holding hands. I have been to this area of California and they have all kinds of religious organizations. I failed to get which denomination one church was but I do recall the name of the Reverend. It was displayed proudly outside in bold letters. The Rev. F--k. You fill in the blanks.
Here in the backward part of the country that just would not go. Might as well be a Nazi and try to be accepted by polite society. Here we have recruiters from every branch of the military, and we welcome them. We know they are all that stands between us and the Islamic Extremists who want us all dead.
Birth place of the true hippy movement. My sister and I were there for a visit and the visit was indeed an eye opener. Dirty, tattered, drug addicts enjoying the free love movement like no other place in the world. Cool...peace...brother. Make Love. Not war. Give Peace A Chance. So we did that. We gave peace a chance with the same candidates in the White House that are doing their best to get back in. Hillary wants to give a million dollars to a Fund for Woodstock. She was refused because some of them in that fair city happened to remember that the FFA and FHA were voters.
We are doing our best to forget this shameful part of history that gave us Charles Manson and the PLO. We pulled out of Vietnam and gave a platform for the John Kerry’s and the Socialist Couple of America Bill and Hillary Clinton, so here we are. Our Marine Recruiters are not allowed at Berkeley but don't get too bent out of shape, Recruiters are not welcome at some of the Ivy Leagues in the eastern part of the USA. No one can out do Warren Churchill. That professor from Colorado. There really is nothing we can do to overcome the one time that we as a nation surrendered to the enemy within. I am so glad my parents were of the generation that would kick someone’s ass over the moon before they would have put up with that stuff. Boundaries are wonderful.
The most wonderful thing to behold is the line you will not cross. The one that separates you from those who know no boundaries and respect no rules. Those like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Adolph Hitler, Pol Pot, and Mussolini. The list is endless. It stretches back to the beginning of time and it is the infinitely in eternity. The children of those men of old, men of renown. They await you in the depth of hell. The Reverend F--k will welcome you and they will not allow the Marines to try to recruit there. Just the same as there at Berkeley. They are so ignorant and I hate them.

Virgie Bell's View: Puzzles
What an inhumane thing to do to use two mentally retarded girls fitted out with bombs as the latest suicide bombers. The fact that it was a pet store makes it even more horrible. Customers looking for pets are the targets. What on earth is the matter with these monsters? Who among the victims was the threat? This, folks, is just about as bad as it gets.
There was a mother here in the USA who put her baby in a micro-wave oven, turned it on and walked out the door. A man here in my country kills his baby and dumps it beside the road. The face of evil is too good for them. How puzzling is the Leviathan that God mentions in the book of Job. It is the one thing in the Bible that has been kept a secret all though out the ages. But here it is, right before our eyes. Give it a name. I challenge you. You can't because it is unspeakable. We can see it and read of it but can't lay a name to it.
One of the reasons that I believe in heaven is that I do so fully believe in hell. I cannot believe that my dust will become a part of their dust. Regardless of what you believe about God, Jesus is an historical fact that cannot be dismissed. A fact is something that agrees with the evidences. The crucifixion really did happen. His blood poured out on the dust below the cross. Don't tell me his blood is mixed with that of the Leviathan. His blood contained DNA. That is his earthly presence and it is left here forever. Right here is the chemical equation that will stand forever unsolved, yet we all know the answer. When the atom was split, the negative power and the positive power were separated. The result or the summary, the answer if you will, is Hiroshima and Nagasaki. You cannot connect the dots, but you certainly can see the answer. You know what it is going to take to win the War on Terror. That is the power of God.
Leviathan is expressed in the cyclopedic index of my Bible as unknown god. Within scripture it is referred to as THE UNKNOWN GOD. The same, yet vastly different. I looked it up in the Greek and it is just that...god or God. Spell Check cannot find the error but you can see the error on this post. You can see it with your eyes. I think sometimes we really do come as a child and that is the only way we can. I know that the Bible is numerically correct but I cannot do the math. I do know that if it is the written word I can read it and understand it as a child. King of the Jews or KING OF THE JEWS. Spell check will correct the word jew to the correct Jew. Something written on the air and I can look at it today. For lack of a better term call it the truth or the facts, that which agrees with the evidence.

News from Oregon
Are you okay out there in Oregon? (my question to Flag Gazer)
FG: We're on the east side of the Cascade mountains - so we got blown some and quite a bit of rain, but the awful mess is on the west side - they had up to 120 MPH gusts and one area had 10 inches of rain. Highways are closed from downed trees and the power is still out and may be for up to a week in some areas. The National Guard has been amazing - rescuing most of one small town via inflatable boats - and helicopter rescues in other areas. Parts of Interstate 5 - which runs Mexico to Canada - is underwater. Lots of people are going to have a tough time for a while. Fortunately, we are well.
Thanks for asking!

You're in our thoughts Flag Gazer and Oregon! Our troops sacrifice daily. Yes, stateside too! We owe all of them so much. I hope they know how much so many of us do care. They are amazing. Thanks for the report, FG.-- dm

Virgie Bell's View: The outrage of placating a pedophile?!?
I wish the time would come in my life when nothing would surprise me. It seems that everyday I have another big blow to the brain when I catch up with the different news topics of the day. Georgia is at the top of my shocker list at the moment. The judges have listened to the human rights advocates and have now ruled that a pedophile can live wherever they wish. If they wish to live next door to a child care center, then that is their right to do so. Human rights advocates. Right. The reason these advocates and the judges who have up-held this insane ruling is because that in the event that such a law was kept, it might cause child sex predators to disregard the law of registering as to where they live. WHAT? I have come to the conclusion that either I am so far behind in reasoning that I can never hope to cross the finish line or that I am so far ahead of the pack that I take a nap beside the track and still win by a length or two. This is the most insane ruling that I have ever heard of. What the child sex predator will or will not do as far as registering does not matter. What does matter is that the child be protected from these perverts. We are supposed to be a nation that protects our most helpless and yet allow something like this to become law. Those who are responsible for this human rights law should have a few of the good old boys take them behind the woodshed and kick the heck out of them.
John Cooey was a known sex offender who set and watched the little Jessica in her yard. He scoped out the arrangement of the house, Jessica’s comings and goings, then went into her home, kidnapped her, took her to his legal residence, then raped and tortured her until his mattress was blood soaked and the closet where she was held was spattered with blood, then he took her outside AND BY THE PORCH HE BURIED HER ALIVE. Judges who ruled in favor of the pedophile and his rights are absolutely the scum of the earth.
In the old west when there was a hanging people came from all around and brought their children to see what happens to the law breakers. It made the impact that it was supposed to, and believe me it was a deterrent. The child sex offenders would have been castrated before being hung. Not anymore. In that day and time the human rights advocate would have taken a chance of being hung right along side the pedophile. We have to consider those who rendered this swift justice. These little settlements were out in the middle of no where. They were lucky to have a one room school and if there was an institution of higher learning, they most likely had never heard of it. They would have laughed if someone had of told them about it. They sent their children to school to learn reading, writing, and arithmetic, and at the end of a hickory stick more than likely. When they got home and misbehaved, the razor strap awaited. When they became a young adult they pretty much had the right idea as to how to act and what to do. How smart is this? In the institution of higher learning there is a class teaching how to become an advocate. There is nothing usually being taught about what to advocate other than theatrics concerning the ability to march and scream and shout about anything, then they are loaded up on a bus for someone like Jesse Jackson, bussed from one place to another in loud regard for a cause and against the same cause the next day. Sheep being led about by the likes of the Reverend. What a joke.
Bill O'Reilly will hop on this pedophile ruling, rest assured. And then O’Reilly will be vilified, mocked and Rosie O’Donnell and her ilk will scream insults from the top of the roof. Meanwhile that pedophile can move in next door to your little one. Boy or girl doesn't matter. The pedophile can watch and plan and lick his lips. The saliva can run down his chin and he can become dizzy with desire for your innocent child because it comes under the heading of his human rights. You have got to be kidding me!

A note from Chantal....
I wanted to share this with you. Chantal e-mailed today. Please keep her family and neighbors in your thoughts and prayers. Pray for David as well as he is on active duty Guard fighting the fires every day.
Chantal writes:
I am staying with my family in Rancho Bernardo right now because of the fires.
The President flew right over our house like 10 times just a few minutes ago!!! SOOOOOOOOO crazy!!!
I don't know if any of you saw the NBC Nightly News last night with Brian Williams, but it was filmed live here in Rancho Bernardo! It was so weird to see this fairly small suburb city on national news, let alone the grocery store we shop at within blocks of our house! It was so surreal! Anyway, if you would like to watch the story, check out this link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/
and watch the video titled "Fire's Effects on one Neighborhood"
Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and concerns!
Love,
Chantal

Virgie Bell's View: Rosie and other Rooster Stories
As of today, the immigration bill has been slapped down again. It’s a rare thing to have a bill this unpopular. We, the people, continue to speak out against it. Both representatives of New Mexico changed their votes from yea to nay on this bill. Why put another bill into law without enforcing the one we already have? Mexico’s border alone is over 2000 miles and less than 700 miles was planned to be either fenced or under electronic surveillance. This is without a doubt completely insane. Fence three sides of your yard and see what you gain. Yet we are expected to be out Ka-zillion dollars to welcome those who are here illegally.
There has also been some discussion about granting citizenship to children born here to illegal parents. I agree that it might be wise to consider such a bill and make it law. Sometimes we have a really hard time trying to figure out just what is going on with those in our nation’s capital, but I think they may have gotten an idea how things are viewed on main street USA. I don't see anything but a vote against those who are in the main stream. No one wants to be against poor people wanting to make a living wage in this country, but there are laws in place allowing for such a plan. Why should 12 million illegal immigrants be granted full pardon for breaking our laws? To sneak across our borders and have children just in order to gain access to citizenship is no way to gain sympathy form the majority of the people. The money sent back into Mexico from those who are here amounts to one of the biggest funds that Mexico receives. Some have contended that the fine imposed on the illegal immigrants is unfair. In that case, let the government of Mexico pick up the tab for them. They are, after all, the government who benefits from the billions of dollars sent into that country. Call it protecting a good investment, which no matter how you look at it, that is all that it boils down to.
Yes, we are a nation of immigrants, but we are legal immigrants by our forefathers’ status. Mine came from Ireland. There were more than 12,000,000 people who went up the smoke stacks of the Nazi regime and yet they were refused entrance into almost every nation in the world. They were much worse off than anyone who is here against our laws. Much worse off, and we held firm on our immigration policy then. What is different now is not changed. Sorry about 12,000,000 votes lost to the members of the House and Senate, but they would do well to consider losing more than that from those who vote and, are legal voters to boot. I predict that nothing will be done until we suffer another 9/11. Make no mistake about it ... that will happen. When it does it will be too late to enforce border security.
Did anyone notice that Rosie O'Donnell dressed her little four year old in the same garb that suicide bombers wear? What is wrong with that stupid loud mouth show off? One other thing that was brought to my attention last night was that Bill Clinton was accused by five different women of sexual misconduct, and of the two who made it into court proved Clinton had lied on both counts. If I had not already decided to put my Democratic affiliation in the past, then I can assure you that I would do it now. I ask anyone who reads this which Democrat candidate you’d be willing to vote for at this time? I do not see a single ray of decency in the whole bunch. The polls do show that Fred Thompson is a force to reckon with, so now I am falling right in the middle for him or America’s Mayor.

N.M. soldier killed in Iraq shortly before return home

by FELICIA FONSECA Associated Press
June 24, 2007
Los Lunas grad joined military soon after high school
ALBUQUERQUE — A New Mexico soldier, who was scheduled to return home just days after the birth of his son, has died in Iraq.
Army Cpl. Joel Dahl, 21, died during small arms fire Saturday near Baghdad, said his stepfather, Joe Aragon, who has raised Dahl since he was about 10. He was one of seven U.S. troops killed by roadside bombers. An eighth soldier died of a noncombat cause.
Aragon said doctors are planning to induce labor on Dahl’s wife, Alia, on Friday. Dahl was set to leave Iraq on July 2.
“She wanted to surprise him with his baby when he got here,” Aragon said.
The Dahls, who were married last September, already had picked out a name for their baby boy — Kayden Anthony — which they came up with by looking through a book of baby names.
Dahl also liked the name because it meant his son would have the same three initials as his wife, although not in the same order.
When the couple first met in church, Aragon said Alia couldn’t stand her husband. But he was determined, Aragon said, to get the girl he fell for. “When he finally got to talk to her, he charmed her over,” Aragon said.
Alia is having a “very hard time” coping with her husband’s death, and Aragon said the family is trying to keep her as calm as possible. “But given the circumstances, it’s hard,” he said.
Dahl graduated from Los Lunas High School, where he was a part of the school’s ROTC program, and joined the military soon after.
Aragon said Dahl planned to use that experience as a stepping stone into law enforcement.
“He was just the kind of person where he liked being in public service,” Aragon said. “He was a person that liked helping other people.”
Even when it came to boosting his stepfather’s dragon collection.
Dahl had called his wife the day before Fathers Day and asked her to find “something special” for Aragon and to keep in mind his admiration for dragons. “He had her running all over the place,” he said.
What she came up with, Aragon said, was a “beautiful little lamp” with a dragon painted on it. “I was all excited about it,” Aragon said.
He and his stepson talked a day or two later, and Aragon said he let Dahl know the only thing he didn’t like about the call was that it came at 2 o’clock in the morning.
In Iraq, it was noon.
“That was pretty much the last time I talked to him,” Aragon said.

Virgie Bell's View: Long Division
I really have no use for some of the evangelists that appear on TV but I have less use for Barack Obama using them as a campaign speech and political springboard. He is a member of The United Church of Christ which has been in existence since 1961. Before that his roots to religious affiliation were in the Muslim faith. He calls the Evangelical religion divisive. In fact he seems to call everything divisive. Divisive is on the brain of the man. Divide and conquer seems to be his motto. Politics is after all just that. But to bring a particular denomination into the Frey seems to be ...well ... divisive. I guess then too, I will have to admit that I am so sick of the entire race baiting that any other thing that even smells a little like it, pushes me over the edge.
A very famous black actor is using the race card to get out of paying the income tax he owes, which truly makes me want to throw up. Here is a man who has become rich and famous in Hollywood style, which only happens if you sell at the box office. Now he is using that appeal to stab us in the back. Black or white, red and yellow, brown and a mix of every one of these pay taxes, so pray tell, why should he be different? Because he can get by with it, that's why. Just as O.J. could play the race card and stab society in the back, those who made him rich to start with. It is kind of like the old saw "Have mercy on me Judge for killing my parents because I am an orphan.”
It will be interesting to watch the trial of Bobby Cutts. Here is a man who is black and married to a black woman to whom a divorce is in the works. they also have children together. Bobby Cutts’ oldest child is a nine year old whose mother happens to be an ex-Cowboy Cheerleader, who just happens to be a beautiful white girl, and the trial he is facing is for killing the mother of his two year old son, whom he spared, but killed his unborn daughter. The daughter that was due in two weeks belonged to him and the white woman he is accused of killing. Boggles the mind ...what?
Mark Geragos of Scott Peterson and Michael Jackson’s fame is salivating to be able to once again go before the camera and bring down a ton of bricks on our head if we mess with him. Watch for Gloria Allred to be the victims’ rights lawyer. It seems as though we get the legal beagles from central casting. Rest assured that I will be one of the viewers and in a snit half the time. At least this trial will take our minds off the insanity called politics. I can't even begin to imagine who all will be in a snit over this trial. Him and Scott Peterson. Makes you wonder what the world is coming to. Look for everything that can be raked in all of this to be dug up and written about. I may have to re-subscribe to Vanity Fair to get the one who’s writing about trials, who is by far the best in my opinion. Can you imagine? Divide and conquer?
Doesn't always work ... sometimes it backfires.

Virgie Bell's View: Players
I was able to hear just a little of the debate in the Senate about the immigration bill on the tube yesterday. I did not catch who the Senator was or where he was from. I did catch the d by his name. Have you ever watched the debates in the Senate? The players (they are players) postulate and gesture. Their audience is vast, silent in their regard for the wisdom that speaketh. But in reality, when the camera pans to this audience, you will see at most two or three in attendance, looking bored and sleepy. These are our tax dollars hard at work for us. The Senator I listened to yesterday, called us, the dissenting majority, arrogant and uncaring for even giving it a second thought about illegals becoming legal. He was appalled at our lack of compassion. Shocked by the selfish desire to put up fences! I also got to hear some from the other point of view, but the one with an R by his name, he said build the fence first. This immigration bill is some 800 pages long. Whatever.
Then there’s the Mike Nifong hearing. Mr. Nifong lost his license to practice law, but in his state of North Carolina, that is only for five years. He gets to keep his cushy home and retirement pension. No doubt that is plenty, plus various bank accounts in the Cayman Islands and other money laundering banks, all for serving the people. Serving. If my neighbor had a severe illness and needed for me to take food to her house, I would be happy to do so, just as her neighbor to the east would be. I would not fight the other neighbor over it … I want to give back in my neighborhood just as much as anyone else, but I will not bribe the other one on the east side in order to do so, nor will I hurl accusations at the east side neighbor. Good government is like a good neighborhood. A good neighborhood is one with laws and hopefully, has a neighborhood watch-dog program. It is made up of people more or less with the same values. Yards are kept and watered. They look lived in, and yes, loved. That little slice of the American dream. If old cars parked on the front lawn are your bag, you need to get out of my neighborhood. You are diminishing my part of the American dream. We have all come by this dream through work. We started out in the trach homes, raised our kids there, and finally got the corner lot in a good part of town. From that first modest yard to the emerald green of our last home, we have invested love and pride in our various yards. America is made up of billions of dreams and they are all connected. We went from sandboxes to swing sets, then to fountains and bird baths. If you are a productive citizen, that will be the natural progression.
On 9/11 we woke up to the knowledge that there are some insane people who want us to die. This last week, al Qaeda had a video of three hundred suicide bombers and their graduation ceremony, shown behind hoods with rocket launchers on their shoulders and bombs around their bodies, some as young as twelve years old. I am still trying to understand the difference in Hamas and Fatah. I cannot hope to understand terrorists and their insane ideas.
I hope that Bush can see a way to use this immigration bill for the safety of our country. No matter what is going on, God is still in control. That being the case, I am living the life that was allotted to me by history. Things are certainly lining up to fulfill prophecy, but then weren't they always. I learned about the Bull in the China Closet and Dog in the Manger on my mother’s knee. The only difference now is I live on that corner and see that eternity coming ever closer. I don't want to be around for the big finale. I have searched the scriptures for rapture. It is there. Man has somehow muddled through until the present time, but when you reach my age you really want to sit in your own backyard, the one with the fountain and the birdbath. I trust in God and.... I SUPPORT THE TROOPS!

Pick Your Mail Service!!
WASHINGTON — Turns out the trouble at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, the focus of a firestorm of criticism over poor treatment of wounded war veterans, reached into the mailroom.
The Army said Friday that it has opened an investigation into the recent discovery of 4,500 letters and parcels — some dating to May 2006 — at Walter Reed that were never delivered to soldiers.
And it fired the contract employee who ran the mailroom.
In an indication of the Army's sensitivity to problems at Walter Reed, whose reputation as the crown jewel in the Army medical system was tarnished by the disclosures of poor treatment of soldiers earlier this year, officials put out a written statement late Friday afternoon detailing the problem with the mail.
Maj. Gen. Eric Schoomaker, commander of Walter Reed, said he ordered a team of 20 to 40 soldiers and civilians to launch an around-the-clock operation to screen, survey and forward all the letters and parcels. Items addressed to soldiers still at Walter Reed were being hand-delivered Friday night, he said.
Story continues here.
or this?
It was only a short-time ago that communication such as the type of MotoMail was unheard of. When Aaron was deployed the first time, I was thrilled for e-mail! And now there's this quicko letter service in which you can even add photos!
It's only right that something as eventful, historical and important for the morale of our troops be posted and tested in our upcoming test!! ;)
A log in link is provided below.
MotoMail is a service that is brought to you and endorsed by the Marine Corps which allows electronically transmitted letters to be printed in Iraq and delivered to the recipient often in as little as 48 hours. Transit time via US Mail is eliminated, allowing a much quicker delivery to our Marines in Iraq.

Searchers Find Corpse of Solider Who Disappeared During Training Exercise at Fort Hood
U.S. Army Sgt. Lawrence G. Sprader, 24, is shown in this undated photo released by the Fort Hood public information office.
June 13, 2006
FORT HOOD, Texas — Searchers have found the body of aFort Hood soldier who was missing for four days after he disappeared during a training exercise.
The discovery last night of Lawrence Sprader's body brings to a close an intense ground and aerial search.
The 25-year-old sergeant went missing Friday during a solo exercise testing basic map-reading and navigation skills.
Colonel Diane Battaglia says the body was found by military searchers on the rugged Central Texas Army post.
The body has been sent for an autopsy and the cause of death had not been determined.
Hundreds of soldiers had scoured thousands of acres of the rugged hills looking for any sign of Sprader in the high grass or under juniper trees.
Helicopters had been flying day and night looking for Sprader since he disappeared.
An aircraft equipped with heat-seeking infrared equipment was brought in to make sweeps of the range.
Over the weekend, dozens of horse-mounted searchers were used, in addition to all-terrain vehicles and bloodhounds.

Recall Release CLASS I RECALL
FSIS-RC-025-2007 HEALTH RISK: HIGH
Congressional and Public Affairs
(202) 720-9113
Steven Cohen
WASHINGTON, June 9, 2007 - United Food Group, LLC, a Vernon, Calif., establishment, is voluntarily expanding its June 3 and 6 recalls to include a total of approximately 5.7 million pounds of both fresh and frozen ground beef products produced between April 6 and April 20 because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced today.
The recall is being expanded out of an abundance of caution following a positive test of fresh ground beef subject to this recall provided by a patient in Arizona. This tested product was sold under a major grocery store label, as opposed to a pre-packaged chub shipped from the recalling firm.
An investigation carried out by the California Department of Health Services and the Colorado Department of Health, in coordination with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, preceded the recall of June 3. Illnesses occurred in Arizona (6), California (3), Colorado (2), Idaho (1), Utah (1) and Wyoming (1). Illness onset dates ranged between April 25 and May 18. All patients have recovered.
Based on product shelf life, fresh beef products produced on April 20 would no longer have been sold in grocery stores after May 11. Fresh beef produced before April 20 and would have been unavailable in stores even earlier. However, these products could be in consumers’ freezers and it is important that consumers look for and return these products if they find them.
The fresh and frozen ground beef products subject to recall were produced between April 6 and April 20 and were shipped to retail stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
E. coli O157:H7 is a potentially deadly bacterium that can cause bloody diarrhea and dehydration. The very young, seniors and persons with compromised immune systems are the most susceptible to foodborne illness.
Consumers with questions about the recall should contact company Customer Service Representative James Turner at (800) 325-4164. Media with questions about the recall should contact company Vice-President for Sales and Marketing Brian Levy at (323) 588-5286.
In addition to specific products bearing labels from the manufacturer, some fresh ground beef, from 73 percent lean to 96 percent lean, was shipped in bulk and sold under different retail brand names. Several types of fresh ground beef patties, from 6.25 ounces to 7.25 ounces, were also shipped to retailers and sold under retail brand names. Consumers in the states of distribution should check with their local retailers to determine whether they may have purchased any of the products subject to recall that were marketed in this way.
The labels of the products subject to recall bear the establishment number “EST. 1241” inside the USDA mark of inspection or printed on the package. All of the products bear a use-by/sell-by date between “APR/15/07” and “May/07/07,” a freeze-by date between “APR/23/07” and “May/07/07,” or a production date between “APR/06/07” and “APR/20/07.” The frozen ground beef patty products bear a sell-by date between “08/06/07” and “01/20/08.”

Virgie Bell's View: Put a tourniquet on it, Geraldo!
The illegal immigration bill had a purported 80% of the American people against it. In the final analysis, the Democratic members of the Washington officials said it was too limited and did not give the illegals all they deserved, which I am wondering if it is my house they are referring to, then the Republican elites said it gave too much to the 12,000 who reside in this country. It is my contention that it was neither of these things. It boils down to the fact that the 80% have the power of the vote, and 80% means something!
Yesterday was an amazing day for news. As you all know, the latest space shuttle was scheduled to launch. In the past we have all seen that the TV stations are camped out at the site and every possible angle of the launch is gone over so many times that it really does become boring. Yesterday one of the newscasters that was supposed to guide us watchers through all of the dull and not so dull moments leading up to the launch was Buzz Aldrich, one of our astronauts who was actually one of the moon walkers. He finally called into FOX News Channel and said that no cameras were on the site of the launch and instead they were busy with the Paris Hilton saga. Admittedly, I was one of those with my eyes glued to the tube.
Let me say I am getting tired of Geraldo Rivera. I really liked his reporting when he was in Afghanistan and Iraq with the troops, but I am really getting weary of him on his immigration stand and his standing up for every spoiled rotten celebrity that comes along. He seems to think that because no one else has received the kind of sentence that Paris Hilton received, that what she was given in the way of sentencing was unfair. Take Mel Gibson and other big wigs like him and the little indulgent slaps on the wrist they receive for their punishment. Yes it is unfair, but it is unfair that they get by with what they do. The sentences of celebrities and politicians have about as much substance as fog.
I still contend that it is up to the parents to instill good citizenship values within their off spring. I can imagine what would have happened to me or any of my friends had we ever come in from a night out smelling of Brew. I would have been grounded still, with the sentencing left in an air tight will. Lindsay Lohan, who had just gotten out of rehab, had a wreck last week in which luckily, no one was killed, was drunk again, which is about the second time in as many months. Here is the thing. No matter what these so called celebrities of the entertainment or political persuasion do, I do not want them loose to endanger the rest of us. A few years back here in New Mexico, a family of five was out viewing the Christmas lights in the city. A drunk driver on the wrong side of the highway hit them head on. He walked away, as well as the husband and father who was hurt badly. A wife and three children were lost. The trial that came later was just the same as the clap trap we hear now, about the unfairness of it all.
A judge back east has been giving child molesters no more than a reprehend. He said he was an alcoholic or gambler or something and had understanding of strong compulsions. Get off the bench then. A judge is not supposed to legislate from the bench. A judge is to uphold the law of the land. Texas has a bill up before its legislation calling for the death penalty for the second offense of child molestation. I mentioned this to Lisa and she said well, I am for it. Well here is the thing. I am too. Geraldo said last night that it was terrible. He was furious that the immigration bill was not passed. Those 12,000,000 immigrants had the right to become citizens, he said. I am not for granting citizenship to anyone who breaks our laws. Once they crossed our borders, they broke our law. If 9/11 taught us anything, it should be that we have got to leave our bleeding hearts outside the voting booth or be prepared to hold our bleeding loved ones who have to fight for our right to exercise our votes to start with. All who feel that this war is illegal, I have but one thing to say and that is this. No war is so-called legal. It is just or unjust. There are just two sides, the winners and the losers. Pick a side and stand, because I stand for my country and our allies. Paris Hilton deserves 45 days. It might save a life, maybe even her own.

You're right Mom, it is a grass roots organization that halted Amnesty....
I really have such a mixture of feelings on the whole immigration thing. It has to be changed. It should be. It’s not right to those living here that have earned their citizenship. On the other hand, there are good people here who I know must be without citizenship. What about our troops whose families are here? I know nothing about them, however, if there is the slightest chance they’re here illegally, then what? Their sons and daughters have stepped up to fight against the same terrorists who are enemies of us all. That’s more than can be said for many with citizenship.
Also, it is of such magnitude. What does a nation do about 12 million people?
While and if I do work out my confusion on it all, I do get emails from the grass roots operation that is responsible for more talk/decision on this issue. I’ve copied the latest one here.
No matter your opinion on it, this e-mail encourages me that WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Grassfire.org Alliance Bush-Kennedy Amnesty Bill Update
To: Gregory Miller Cloture Fails-- This Round Of Amnesty Defeated! ==Fire Society Discussion Here: http://www.firesociety.com/forum/thread/14217
Gregory, The Senate just failed to "invoke cloture" on the Bush-Kennedy amnesty bill for the second time today. The final vote was 45-50.
What does this mean?
We did it! We defeated this round of amnesty!
Since the announcement of this bill a few weeks ago, Grassfire team members sent over 700,000 petitions and faxes to the Senate. When we add in the estimated phone calls, contacts by our team members alone to the Senate far exceeded 1 million!
We have never seen a grassroots response like this -- it was truly unprecedented .Without grassroots pressure, the Senate would have passed this bill weeks ago.
On behalf of our entire team, and on behalf of the entire nation, thank you for taking a stand!
With much appreciation,
Steve Elliott, PresidentGrassfire.org
P.S. If you listened to the floor speeches after the vote onC-Span, then you know that the battle is not over. The will bring amnesty back -- sooner rather than later. But for tonight, I want to thank you for everything you did to take a stand against this amnesty bill.
P.P.S. I would love to hear your feedback on this victory and our combined grassroots effort. I started a forum discussion on FireSociety.com earlier today that has some lively discussion (and celebrating) going on. Would you post your comments here as well? Virgie Bell's View: Hilton Express (or The Trainwreck)
The Paris Hilton saga is exactly what I have been referring to with the celebrity and political officials. So out of touch with reality. No matter what happens and it could be anything at this point, in the hierarchy of the legal system the judge is god. He sits in the judgment seat of our legal system. The sheriff is not above him, although he is big time. For once someone is going after publicity and it is not Paris. Of course she is vilified, no doubt about it, but look what she has brought on herself. I will admit that I think it is entirely possible that she will have a complete breakdown, but she was going to kill herself or someone else. She became a danger to the general public. Aside from all that, this is about the justice system. Paris Hilton has thumbed her nose at the law of the land. It is about time that she learns she is not above our legal system.
All of the pontification in our nation’s capital by various dignitaries and elected officials is no different. What goes wrong is they start to believe the blah blah blah about themselves. That they indeed possess the wisdom attributed to them. If a man like Al Sharpton can stand on a stage and his party declare him worthy of competing for the highest office in the world, a man who claims he preached his first sermon at four years old and became an ordained minister at the age of nine years. William Jefferson guilty of bribes and racketeering yet is given a standing ovation when greeted by his constituents.
Then too, this last week we came close to awarding 12,000,000 illegals with citizenship. What in God’s name is wrong with us as a society? Somewhere the law has to take a stand for us to know the law even works. For Bush or anyone else to claim that it was not amnesty. Of course that was what it was. I think it was truly a grass roots movement that stopped it. The voter had their say in public out cry. The various flags that were draped over shoulders and hoisted from other countries were a great put-off to the citizens and should have been. I think it is time for an accounting by officials to obey the law. You hear all these legal beagles saying it is not fair. No one else had to go to jail for something like this. Look at it this way. Why did they not?

New Mexico Man Arrested for Drunk Driving for the 28th Time
Friday, June 01, 2007
ALBUQUERQUE — An Albuquerque man arrested for the 28th time on a drunken driving charge has pleaded not guilty.
Joseph Brill, 53, entered his plea Tuesday to charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies arrested Brill in an Albuquerque neighborhood on March 14. Deputies said they saw him park, then fall out of his pickup truck.
The deputies said they tried to give him a field sobriety test, but he could not complete it. They said he then refused a breath test.
A criminal complaint said Brill had 27 prior DWI offenses, with at least 14 convictions, before the arrest.
State District Judge Ernesto Romero set bond at $100,000.
"The probabilities are if you get behind the wheel, you're going to hurt or kill somebody," the judge said.

Virgie Bell's View:TB, CDC and F-in-laws
I suppose everyone will not remember when a book was written called And the Band Played On. This was the true story of the first contamination of the HIV virus and the story was just the same as the one by Andrew Speaker, the Ambulance Chaser/Lawyer who has now risked the lives of all exposed to him. I have no pity for him. Maybe I am wrong to feel that way but I think not. How dare him to do this to these countrymen. To ask forgiveness is just what we hear all of the time. Forgiveness and rehab. His is no different. Since his new father-in -law worked for the Center of Disease Control and is a specialist in the field of TB, Daddy Dearest should lose his position for not having told the general public what this man was doing. The border guard that let Mr. Speaker cross, in spite of the blacklist, has lost his job. I am sure his palm was greased before he let this weapon of mass destruction cross over. See, that is what it is, this man regarded only himself, had no regard for others. If he lives through this, which is of course is in doubt; I hope he will have to move to some other country. If he waits for my welcome here, it will be a long wait.
