I really had to stop and think to do my post yesterday. We have been so inundated with Anna Nicole and Britney behaving badly that it has knocked other news off the air. The editorial pages have all tuned in to the same fiascos and all news has honed its way down to this ridiculous stuff. It will start up again in March when both of the main fathers (maybe) will be going at it for custody of the baby girl. In the newspaper today it was reported that tourists are flocking to the grave sight to view this misguided woman's grave. If you have read this post even this far I will assume you will not be among them. It is the very last thing on my list of things to do and places to go in my life. If news keeps on being this exciting you can look for my posts to be discussing names out of the phone book.
In just a snippet of news last night I found that 52 percent of the American population is indeed against withholding funds for the troops. This was my prediction recently when I put my trust with the good old American population. So much for John Murtha, Nancy Pelosi, and all the rest of the feather brains that now run our country. As I have said many times, President George Bush is the first time I voted for a republican and I have been solidly behind him ever since. When he stood on the mound of plowed rubble and yelled through a megaphone to the workers in the ruins of what had been the Twin Towers in the aftermath of 9/11, he won my loyalty forever. Give me a leader who is willing to lead when my country suffers from war that was thrust upon us. I did not make him my God. I don't expect him and his administration to not make mistakes. To err is after all, human.
I heard a little bit of a speech made by America’s Mayor. I like him. But he also earned my admiration forever for his superb performance during the 9/11 crisis. The first attack on our continent by a foreign power. I get so aggravated at our newscasters and talking heads when we let them sell us a bill of goods about what the American People want. They claim we are wanting out of a war in Iraq. I think rather that they might think what we really want is to win the war on terror. This will be our goal from now on. We the citizens are not as simple as we are portrayed to be. The politicians are just a bunch of windbags that we keep in Washington to have a go at each other so that we can keep our wonderful military on the fields of battle without having to put up with this bunch of greedy, power hungry windbags doing too much damage.
We took a big hit on our few shares in the stock market after Al Gore’s little acceptance speech at the Academy Awards. The Democratic Party is ready to take our tax dollars to heal the environment. As I’ve said before, either God will do that or it is not going to happen. But hey, go hug a tree a day if that makes you feel any better. We have sugar beets, corn, and grain as the alternative sources. When is the last time you saw us seeding a cloud and ending a drought? Right. You haven't. We started a race long ago in the Garden of Eden with the Prince of the Power of the air and we won't stop it ever. Greenhouse gas has been going on since the beginning also. It will continue to do so. That is because we are a civilization of people and we have a lot of trash and waste to get rid of. In other words, the solution to greenhouse gas is to farm our way out of it. The farmer’s crops are on top of the earth’s surface whereas fossil fuel lies beneath and is out of reach from the weather.
A large supply of oil was discovered this last week in Arkansas. It is called shale oil and the price of crude has to be at $70 per barrel in order to make it feasible to extract it out. We have enough to keep us going and growing for a lot of centuries. Now we are going to put all this money into vegetable oil. Just as soon as we can control the seasons, make the rain fall and control freezes it will work. We should also be ready to pay an enormous price for food and clothing. Try out the price of orange juice after this last hard freeze and see what it does to your budget.
My fellow Americans let me tell you what is going to happen to you in the future if you are lucky. You will work from paycheck to paycheck. You will make enough for car payments, house payments, and insurance. If you are extremely lucky you will enjoy good health and get to eat out and go to a movie now and then. When that happens to you I want you to know that you are living the great American Dream that has cost us the blood of our armed forces. If you are one of these fortunate people who work from paycheck to paycheck and make house payments, and car payments then you are blessed. God has blessed you beyond all measure. God bless you: the real American people. When push came to shove, you still were right there to see that we would fund and fully SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
