Writings and musings on the eccentric beauty of sacrifice. Come journey and write with us. We are family and friends resolved to capture something positive in a troubled world and laugh when we can along the way. This, then, is dedicated in Loving Memory to LCpl. Aaron C. Austin, USMC KIA Fallujah, Iraq on April 26, 2004. Rock On...

Thank you!!! Love it!
Oh, and where do you find such great stuff? I love those 40s and 50s advertisements. I have a whole room full of old Coca Cola stuff.
I love old things. Even had a business once of old things called The Wooden Nickel. It was darling and a bust. lol! Karen was even one of my employees. Well the only one cuz I didn't pay Greg or Dad. :)
But these magazines were mine even before I had Aaron. Then I loaned them to Uncle Mickey and after we lost him I thought I'd never see them again.
THEN! I went to Tonya's garage sale, my Ya Ya cousin (Mickey's daughter) and there they were! FOR SALE!
NEEDLESS TO SAY I REFUSED TO PAY FOR THEM AND LECTURED HER STERNLY!! :)
And now they have fallen entirely apart from touching them. I have to really go through a lot to make sure I get the pub. date right b/c of it.
I meant to put up some more WWII stuff with it but then my Internet died. I'm glad you took it as the joke it was. I worried that since that was the last thing up for hours that it might seem too mean if you didn't understand my sense of humor, but you have the same one a lot. Thanks!
I'll admit it took me a minute to figure out what it meant. :) I have a head cold and a serious case of brain fog today. Once I got it though, I thought it was funny. I LOVE your sense of humor!
