Intoduction to Roll Call

I have thought long and hard on how to capture each name in the War on Terror who has paid the ultimate sacrifice.
I know their names are honored on many websites but I want each name to be printed here on gUnZ uP at least once.
What I plan to do is group it day by day, based on the month. That way, if a warrior's name is missed the first year, surely it won't be the next.
It will be kept simple, but I'll try to be consistent.
There will be those that I'll do something extra for, simply because I know of something personal to add. I certainly mean no disrespect by not doing something special for each one, but I feel it's important (to me at least) to continue to cover the history of other wars, other sacrifices--to include those on the homefront for sure, and so the time constraint, especially with spring duties budding, prevents that, for me at least.
There is something else I've been wanting to do and that is to cover those who have to deliver the horrible message to the families--our casualty officers. They have the hardest job that I can think of and for me at least, the respect and care with which everything was handled will always be so very appreciated by Aaron's family.
I feel this group of warriors are often over-looked. They don't have an easy job. And it's not just the casualty officers, but those who tend the bodies of our fallen day in and day out. I know of at least one suicide from a high-ranking NCO who was stationed in Iraq.
None of this is meant in any way as a political statement. I fully support the War on Terror and I'm not blind to the fact that freedom requires sacrifice--many times a great deal of it. Roll Call is meant to say thank you, to yes, a long list of those who've ensured another day of our freedom.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
SEMPER FI
AND SORRY THIS IS ALL RAN TOGETHER. I'LL FIGURE IT OUT SOMEDAY.
