April 10, 2003

Marine Gunnery Sgt. Jeffrey E. Bohr, Jr., 39, of Ossian, Iowa.
Killed in northern Baghdad while engaging enemy forces. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on April 10, 2003.


Army Staff Sgt. Terry W. Hemingway, 39, of Willingboro, New Jersey.
Killed in action in Iraq. Hemingway's Bradley Fighting Vehicle was traveling down a street when a car exploded next to it. Hemingway was assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. Died on April 10, 2003.

Army Spc. Adolfo C. Carballo, 20, of Houston, Texas.
Carballo died in Baghdad, Iraq, when shrapnel struck him. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 21st Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on April 10, 2004.


Army Sgt. William C. Eckhart, 25, of Rocksprings, Texas.
Eckhart died in Baqubah, Iraq when he was on an anti-mortar mission and there was an explosion of unknown origin. He was assigned to 4th Cavalry, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on April 10, 2004.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Antoine J. Holt, 20, of Kennesaw, Georgia.
Holt died as a result of injuries sustained when his tent was hit by a mortar round at Balad Air Field, Iraq. He was assigned to the 603rd Air Control Squadron, Aviano Air Base, Italy. Died on April 10, 2004.


Army Spc. Justin W. Johnson, 22, of Rome, Georgia.
Johnson died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his patrol vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on April 10, 2004.


Marine Lance Cpl. John T. Sims, Jr., 21, of Alexander City, Alabama.
Sims died from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died on April 10, 2004.




April 10, 2006

Army Spc. James W. Gardner, 22, of Glasgow, Kentucky.
Gardner died in Tal Afar, Iraq, from a non-combat related cause. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on April 10, 2006.


Army Sgt. 1st Class Randall L. Lamberson, 36, of Springfield, Missouri.
Lamberson died in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained on April 9 in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on April 10, 2006.
