April 17, 2003

Army Cpl. John Travis Rivero, 23, of Gainesville, Florida.
Rivero died from injuries sustained when his HMMWV turned over in Western Iraq. He was assigned to C Company, 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Division, Eustis, Florida. Died on April 17, 2003.


April 17, 2004 (12)

Army Spc. Marvin A. Camposiles, 25, of Austell, Georgia.
Camposiles died in Samarra, Iraq, when he was electrocuted while performing routine generator maintenance. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died on April 17, 2004

Army Staff Sgt. Edward W. Carman, 27, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
Carman died in Baghdad, Iraq when the track of the tank he was in broke, the driver lost control and the tank rolled off the bridge. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 12th Armored Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died on April 17, 2004.


Marine Maj. Richard J. Gannon II, 31, of Escondido, California.
Gannon died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on April 17, 2004.


Marine Cpl. Christopher A. Gibson, 23, of Simi Valley, California.
Gibson died due to injuries received from enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on April 17, 2004.


Army Sgt. Jonathan N. Hartman, 27, of Jacksonville, Florida.
Hartman died in Dwaniyan, Iraq, when his convoy was ambushed. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Friedburg, Germany. Died on April 17, 2004.


Army 1st Lt. Robert L. Henderson, II, 33, of Alvaton, Kentucky.
Henderson died in Diwaniyah, Iraq, when his convoy tried to avoid an overturned trailer and came under small arms attack. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's Detachment 1, 2123rd Transportation Company, Owensboro, Kentucky. Died on April 17, 2004.


+ + +Army Pfc. Clayton W. Henson, 20, of Stanton, Texas.
Henson died when his convoy was ambushed in Dwaniyan, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, Louisiana. Died on April 17, 2004.

PFC HENSON’S step-dad was one of the first people to call me when Aaron was killed. We talked for 20 minutes or so. Stanton, TX is where I went on my Walk to Emmaus at.


April 17, 2005

Army Pvt. Joseph L. Knott, 21, of Yuma, Arizona.
Knott died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his convoy was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire and an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died on April 17, 2005.


Army Pfc. Steven F. Sirko, 20, of Portage, Indiana.
Sirko died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia. Died on April 17, 2005.
