Virgie Bell's View: Energy

In my Time Magazine this week, there was an article about Albert Einstein, one which I wish everyone would purchase for their own edification. As everyone knows, Einstein was the greatest brain of the twentieth century. He was the person who is responsible for splitting the atom.

Einstein was a Jewish man who was able to get out of Germany before the Holocaust was able to silence him forever, as it did many millions of his race. There has never been any mind as brilliant as his, a scientist who remains foremost in his profession to this day. His parents were not practicing in the Jewish faith and therefore the school he attended in Germany was a Christian school. I have read various reports of him off and on for most of my reading life. I had read that he did indeed believe in God. Also he believed in the Nazarene, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The scientist’s voice, of course, was listened to in the most prestigious gatherings of the most renowned scientists of their day, and has been regarded with respect since that time. It seems the longer he studied the sciences involving the laws of nature, the more he was convinced that there was indeed a creator of all of the laws of the universe. It is very interesting to read how this exceptional man was able to stand before his fellowman and profess his faith in a higher order that created the laws that he studied.

He knew that Hitler's Germany was well on the way to developing and he was able to get this information to our government. He was also instrumental in the development of our Atomic Bomb that brought an end to World War 2. He did this with a great sadness because he knew that this would be something once let out of the bag, would never be put back in. He also knew that if the Nazi regime perfected this weapon, it would be the end of a civilization that had any regard for any race other than their own.

Einstein was able to look further into the secrets of the universe than any human being ever, and the more deeply he delved into these secrets, the more convinced he became that God did indeed exist. There are elements of his beliefs that I do not agree with, but I will say I agreed with most of his convictions.

I highly recommend this article. It is way too long for a posting on this blog. Just about the time that I am ready to stop this magazine from entering my house, they come up with one or two articles that I feel are worthy of my attention. This one comes at the top of such a list. They also come up with some material that I think is stupid and not worth anyone's time. I realize that this magazine is very liberal in its view and I suppose that is one of the reasons I keep on subscribing to it. I do not watch any TV except Fox News. I couldn't tell you even one of the popular shows on TV as I find it to be extremely boring, and for the most part ridiculous. Until 9/11 I watched CNN. My son nearly stroked out that I did, because he felt it was entirely liberal in its interpretation. Turns out he was right.

This brings me to Obama declared yesterday. He stated that he would not appear on a debate because it would be hosted by Fox News. Well, thank you very much. You will not receive a lot of votes because of your silly viewpoint. Mr. Obama has a lot of dirt that can be dug up on him and I am sure the other candidates will do so. But as just an average American voter, I will say this: he made the wrong call on this. If he wants to preach only to the Choir, then so be it.

Back on American soil, the ever embarrassing Speaker of the House justifies her actions by stating that “after all, there had been members of the Republican Party visiting in the Middle East.” The woman is so vain and so shallow that she cannot even get it through her head that anything she ever does or says is not perfectly alright. She acted like a perfect slut over there with her dresses way up on her thighs, blabbing away about a policy where she has not one bit of authority. The more I see of her and of John Kerry, the more I feel the Republicans do have a chance to regain the majority in the House and Senate. Not that I think for an instant that they have much to crow about. After all, they are politicians, making them highly suspect to start with.

In the final analysis, the government of the United States is put there by our votes. If we will continue to hold them accountable for their power plays by voting them in and out we will remain the greatest country in the world. SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
