Whoops. $he is at it again! Money and Cindy $heehan just can't seem to balance. One report is that her little activist group has the total of $14,000 in the bank and another that it contains the grand total of $3.00. At any rate, they have lost some kind of government subsidy that this group in Crawford TX, which is led by Cindy Sheehan, had until just recently. This group received over $285,000.00 in 2005 and no one can account for the discrepancy.
This revelation should not come as a surprise to anyone. Indeed Cindy was fired from a job with the Catholic Church for donations that went to a youth group that she was in charge of. It seems that she also dressed in a fetching way to the young boys she was in charge of. I for one have a really hard time thinking of her as fetching. Ok, they called it inappropriate dressing in suggestive clothes. I was trying to soften the image of the old gal. Let us give her the benefit of the doubt here, because after all, she may have been trying to buy a headstone for her son’s grave. No? Oh well, one can hope.
It seems also that this organization has some sort of tax break as a religious organization. This from the avowed atheist, Ms. Sheehan herself. Am I missing something here? This little bit of news comes in spite of the plea by the activist groups that demonstrate for peace and withholding funds for the troops. The democratic candidates are scrambling for a version that they can stand on, but so far it is just a bust it seems. Osama wants to dribble money to them and then check in four months to see if our troops are doing what Congress approved, then dribble a little more if they approve of the job performance by our military.
Senator Clinton said that she would have the President reconsider his veto threat. According to her, he is going against the American people and not just the Congress. Edwards is still trying to pull it off that he is against the whole war to start with and holding firm, but with the numbers at 45% to 43% with a margin of two to three % error, it is pretty hard to know what to do. He still is going all out for free health care for every American and that would of course include Elizabeth. Her condition changes daily also. At first it was treatable, but incurable. Next day when the voters thought Senator John Edwards needed to be just a tad more concerned about her health than about his desire to be Prez, well low and behold things were looking up for her and the outcome was a little more hopeful. Seems I was right in my opinion that when it got right down to the American public wanting to withhold funds from the troops, they wouldn’t accept it. Look for a new bunch of opinions in the weeks to come. Maybe something like say, uuh … oh, maybe this... “Actually I voted for it before I voted against it…” As for me and mine, we will SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
