Re: Quiz Q Operation Vigilant Resolve (or Politics Kills)

VIGILANT RESOLVE — U.S. Marines of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division patrol the streets of Fallujah, Iraq, April 5, 2004. Marines first surrounded the city, blocking avenues of escape and probed the outer perimeters of the city to root out terrorists blamed for attacking coalition forces. Quiz Q: Was Operation Vigilant Resolve considered a success or a failure?

The First Battle of Fallujah, codenamed Operation Vigilant Resolve by the United States Military, was an unsuccessful attempt by US troops to capture the city of Fallujah in April 2004, as part of the occupation of Iraq.
