No doubt I will watch some of the illegal demonstration marches on TV today, and no doubt I will find myself once again angry that this goes on in this country. While it is logical for citizens to march in protest for or against something, I fail to understand how a person who is illegal to start with can march for THEIR RIGHTS. Pray tell, which rights? They have the right to be grouped together and deported to their own country. While you watch this show of force, also watch for the flags of their native country to be unfurled. Also take note of the sheer gigantic size of the number of them. Then remember that you, with the wages you earn, pay for the schooling of their children and their medical care. You also pay for police protection for them, and the court time that it takes to send them back to wherever they are legal. You pay for the guards on the border, and you pay for the government that they march against.
I am certainly for a guest worker program. I find no sympathy for the fact that they have families that are separated here in the states because of deportation. Last time these untold millions of people marched against us as a country, Hillary Clinton stood behind a podium and declared that she could not believe this administration was so mean spirited. That THEY (the illegal) were the face of America. No Senator, the face of America is those who pick up the tab as well as pay your salary, at least the little that we know about. All the rest of the corruption and graft is just a little dip in our pockets that you feel free to pick.
Joe Biden, the noble candidate on the democratic ticket, was heard screaming that “they were going to shove the bill that Bush will veto down his throat.” Got a little message for you, Joe. TRY IT. Yeah, just try. Is that a promise, or just another one of your lies like the one on your record of the college that you said you attended and never did?
My Time Magazine came yesterday and the commentary by Joe Klein is all about how refreshing he finds John Edwards. He reports that he find his qualities of self-depreciation, humor and real courage as wonderful, while also admitting that he lacks knowledge in foreign policy, military and national defense. I would suppose that these are minor issues. Things that don't count. Mr. Klein says that for now let's just give him the benefit of the doubt. Right. Why should we care about such things as silly as our very survival? Oh yes, he did vote against a US-South Korea trade bill. Something that was supposed to be fruitful to the economy of both countries. Mr. Kline phoo-phooed his "conspicuous consumption" as a little off putting to voters. Oh really? Even the columnists in today's papers were taking a pot shot at that. John Edwards said that he found it so embarrassing that he found out that one of his haircuts cost $400.00, yet he went back for the second one for the same price. Oh yes and a minor little side note: this is a Hollywood barber, so Edwards either flies there or imports him up to his 29,000 sq. foot home that was recently built. If this guy even stays in the race very long, I will be very surprised. The voters of this nation may not understand all the intrigue and the wheeling and dealing that is involved in politics, but rest assured they understand how much a haircut should cost., and if it is just such a stupid mistake, then are we supposed to trust him with our military, the safety of our citizens, and the survival of our way of life?
John Edwards has said he doesn't want the sympathy vote, yet he milks a non-existent poor background wherein he can remember when his dad had to leave a restaurant because of the high prices on the menu, and that he will struggle on in spite of his wife having a reoccurrence of cancer. Doesn’t want the sympathy vote, my eye. That is what the man is all about. He wants us to reward him while we set at the table of his national pity party. Pray tell, why would we feel sorry for this man who cannot pass a mirror without asking who is the fairest of them all? He is a wimp of the first order. Pure joke and sadly, a candidate for the Office of the President.
I read in the paper today that Cesar Chavez of Venezuela has taken another cut into the oil businesses that other countries have financed. Top companies like Exxon, Chevron, etc. plus oil companies from foreign countries. These companies spent around fifteen billion to establish these companies. When Chavez took them they were valued at $30,000,000,000. , and if they keep these factories going their employees will have to wear red suits, put up with armed guards watching them and planes flying over to spy on them. What a deal, huh? This of course is that wonderful man that Cindy Sheehan gave a little smack on the cheek to. A blissful little kiss for a wonderful humanitarian. Oh and don't blame the war in Iraq for the high price of gas. Trust me; the leader is using the oil supply as a weapon. No oil for food ... you’re kidding! SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
