Are we supposed to believe everything about the need to stay away from a civil war and yet are called on to do just that? To involve ourselves in the war torn country of Darfur? It is nothing but a civil war and as far as I can determine, nothing but that. It is amazing to me that when a country is absolutely among the poorest on this earth then it becomes the business of the United States.
Sure it is a crying shame that these people are treated the way they are with the killings and starvation among tribal leaders; the poor population is always caught in the crossfire. We are supposed to come up with the funds for this civil war and yet we hear nothing but the griping and complaining when our troops and the world’s oil supplies are involved. If the reasoning behind this is sound, it surely escapes me. We are hated and vilified all over the world for participating in something that is in our national interest and yet we are never able to give enough to other countries when the only thing we hope to receive is a big expense.
Our American troops need to have supplies. That is our obligation. Make no mistake; oil is one of the biggest issues in the world right now. If this giant, the USA, becomes crippled, which we certainly will if we just pull-out of the Middle East, other countries will swarm over our land and kill and plunder us. Right now we have a battlefield that is away from our shores, besides the fact that Saddam Hussein murdered his countries men, women, children, tiny babies and invaded a friendly country. The entire Middle East and the rest of the world wanted our help to overcome this invasion. We are involving ourselves in something that we should not do and yet we have never been invaded by Darfur. We should spend money and American blood for this civil war? Help me out here anti-war freaks because I just don't understand the reasoning behind this. SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
