Virgie Bell's View: Pass and Review

I am so glad that someone had the gumption and the decency to take it upon himself to ask O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant. He told him that he was refusing to serve him. I remember that farce of a trial so well. Though he was acquitted in the criminal trial, he was found guilty in a civil trial. No one was more of a fan than I was for O.J., but then it turned into an absolute and total disgust as I watched the proceedings go on day after day. It took no great mentality to see the man was guilty of the horrific crime of murder in the first degree. It was as up close and personal as any murder in this country.

When Ron Goldman's family won the trial in which Simpson was found guilty, it was a civil trial where the only thing they could hope for in the way of justice was money damages. O.J. was so crippled that he couldn't have done it was one of the claims. “He can barely play golf,” was the quote. It was testimony such as this that let him get by with this horrific crime. It was really just a case of the vast amount of money he had to fight in a court of law and to be guilty as he could be, yet walk away a free man. Even more than money was the fact that he was able to get a change of venue from his fancy digs in Westlake to a modest part of California where it was certain that he had more black women on the jury. The trial then turned out to be about Nicole being white and therefore guilty and deserving of murder.

I read all the books that were written about this trial and the events leading up to it. Ron Goldman was an innocent that dropped by Ms. Simpson's house to return some shades that were left at the place of business where he was employed. He was also guilty of being white. Don Imus is guilty of the same crime. If you are black you may call women bitches and hos till you turn blue. It is fine. If you are white you dare not repeat these insults. The N word is acceptable if you are black. It is even bragged about. You can nearly get deported if you are white and use the term. Matt Romney had to take an insult from Al Sharpton who said “People who really believed in God would never vote him [Romney] into office because he is Mormon." Of course Sharpton said his remarks were taken out of context. Right. I wish that people were a little more curious than they seem to be about the title he claims as Reverend. This man has no religious training. It would be like me calling myself Reverend Virgie. While you check out Al Sharpton, go right ahead and check out the qualifications of the Reverend Jesse Jackson. Now the attorney who is representing Simpson is screaming that the owner of this up scale steakhouse asking O. J. to leave is a race based request. What a joke. Try this excuse instead. He did not want to serve a man who was guilty of murder, no matter what color his skin happened to be. He was within his rights. Hooray.

The war funds needed for our troops will not ever be available, Thank you, Pelosi and Harry Reid. The Pocketbook Cure. No funding the troops means no troops. We are now to the part that it will be an uphill battle to finish a war on the ground in Iraq. We will go on fighting it of course, but the battleground will be in the United States. It doesn't matter to those in Washington DC. If it gains seats for them in the Congress and Senate, then they have accomplished their goal. I seriously doubt they will really gain any extra seats. The actions of the Democratic Party will do them in. We the people are not quite as stupid as we might be. In fact I would say that we might just be smart enough to vote the bums out. At least, I sincerely hope so. Have you ever in your life seen anything as goofy as Madam Speaker? I promise it will put the woman’s movement back by a decade. We will certainly have a hard time ever overcoming this bit of fluff. Did anyone else notice what a fool she made of herself with Queen Elizabeth? When the large group was in the receiving line that the Queen strolled in front of for a review and a nod, Ms. Pelosi stepped forward a bit and got her handshake, then she introduced her husband and he got his handshake too. The world is a stage and the title is “Photo Ops for a Dingbat.” She really doesn't have a clue. She really doesn't SUPPORT THE TROOPS!
