Hey everybody,
Hope your Sunday has been great. I've been asleep most of the day and then took Cady outside to wander around for her first time. She loved it.
VB has in a couple of posts and I'll see what I can get into. Let me get some coffee down me and I'll be back.
West Texas--how about that rain? We got just a little of it, but I was up to enjoy it. Nothing like a nice rain on a metal roof!
Back later....

It was a lazy Sunday up North, too, so I guess God took a day of rest. Oh, my...rain on a tin roof is a joy to the ears and the soul. Thank you, De'on, as you've taken me back to a little slice of heaven in my mind.
One fine day it will be a lazy Sunday for our men and women in uniform, but not yet it seems. With God's help, they'll be there in their dreams one day...one day...it seems so far away at times, and yet...must be the weather...it's a little cloudy today...Sometimes Sundays are also a time for thoughts that take us back. I guess it's one of God's ways to help us slow down and think...really think, not just a passing glance at what's important.
Pardon me for rambling today. Coffee is a good idea.

I love your rambling! That's what we do this for, huh?
I know ... another rough day for our troops. I know they're all rough in one way or another.
Sundays are a good day for going back, though I do it every day. Sometimes the smell of something in my medicine cabinet in my back bathroom makes me think of my paternal grandmother. I haven't figured out exactly what it is, some mineral maybe, magnesium or something mediciny.
Odd sounds and smells send me back often. But the little girl things don't seem real somehow. More like something I dreamed.
I think you must be about my age, Baby Boomer! We will begin to reflect more and more I bet!! LOL!
Let's hope no one reads this part, but, yes, I am a "boomer" of...dare I say it...52. Doesn't seem possible most days. s-i-g-h.
