I’ve been toast this afternoon. Coming off the Dark Dweller shift is a real killer! I went and did my thing as far as training goes (I had to be in Hobbs by 8 AM!) came home and immediately went to sleep, Cady girl next to me.
BTW, I am so in love with her. She’s asleep in my chair next to me right now. I don’t want to disturb her because she is a feisty one now when she’s awake. She’s the boldest thing and irritates the fire out of the other three. She’s busy, always busy, she bites and scratches and attacks from time to time as well. It bothers me not. One of the joys of loving a little rose; she’s definitely got all her bullets and my forearms and the bottom of my legs look like I have a terrible skin disease, or more like I’m a cutter. I probably impressed the health care industry just a whole bunch today … natch, I’m the only smoker out of all the trainees and tomorrow is CPR. My lungs blow, or don’t blow, depending on how you look at it, so I’m dreading that part, but the other girls have been forewarned that I will be a borderline pass at best, so I’m counting on the crew to get me through.
There was some kind of fight while I was gone. The boys are known for their altercations, but if that was it, Isaac got Hen’s nose pretty good. Not to mention there’s blood on my bedroom floor, comforter and the skirt. Of course, each night I end up bleeding from Cady so my pillowcase had last night’s proof of new wounds on it too. It’s a huge bed, and I seriously thought about ripping everything off, but instead, I just crawled up in the middle of the bloody bed and went to sleep, the baby nestled next to me.
Back later!

Cady is a little beauty, and a rebellious little gal I'm guessing. She reminds me of the last cat that was with me. He too had his own unique personality, and did NOT care to be ignored. s-i-g-h. They are great friends. Good luck with the scratches. Does she scratch only those she loves, or everybody? Oh well, it doesn't matter...she's a keeper.
Veritas et Fidelis Semper
They are great friends. She seems to attack me more than anyone, but will get a good game of it going with any others who will give her half a chance. She chases and bats at their tails, races them to their food. She means no harm, though she certainly can cause it. Cats are predators. They enjoy the hunt and the tangle. We won't take that out of the blood passed down to them by grandma and grandpa!
Good to hear from you, Deb... have missed all you guys!
