Actually I'm not amazed at all anymore of the pure gall of presidential candidates to believe their own line of pure bull. I was reading a statement by the ever clueless John Kerry. Let's examine what is said by this ocean of wisdom. Born of a name but no money, and to keep him from disgracing the family name, an aunt paid for the college education. With that name he was accepted to Yale where his grades were less than stunning, below that of our current president. A short tour of Viet Nam where he was decorated for different things, one of which is shooting himself in the foot. Of course he went home and became an activist, throwing his medal over the fence on the White House Lawn. For a camera shot nearby! Turns out he didn't because the same medal is on display in his office. He testified before Congress against our military, calling them murderers and every vile thing he could think of. Remember this was the big hippy movement, free love, peace brother, my pad or yours?
He became a Senator when it was hard not to, what with the pick we had. You see the longish hair, in thousand dollar suits far-reaching activist. Hmm. Fast forward to Kerry running for President a new wife padded with major bucks, the new wife who’d refused his name. He became the Democratic candidate against the competition. Check the competition he beat: Al Sharpton was one, and who can remember the rest? Everyone who possesses a brain cell knows the country is pretty evenly divided between the Democratic and the Republican Parties. But he really believes this is some honor bestowed on him being the choice of his party. In his mind and he has said this…. If some big NFL game had have not happened, he would have won. Wrong. You would have still had half. That is a constant. What you have to depend on is that very small crossover group. Trust me, there is very little of the RNC in the GOP. One reason being is that most of the free love and peace stuff is over. If we are bombed again like 9/11, it's not like Peace Brother. Peace flew out the window for many.
Check out the facts of who is for the war and against it. It is nearly half. This means the crossover is not there. You can gushy-pooh all over the place about high standards while we watch common crooks among you prosper. In six months, your ratings hover right there in the thirties, as does the President’s. But he has had eight years to become a lame duck president. It just means he is on his way out because by law he can not serve anymore. Kerry's latest remark was: “Choosing Edwards had been the downfall. If I had known that Edwards would have voted for the war, I would not have chosen him. This war is the most tragic mistake in history.”
What, pray tell, besides your activist movement within our military personnel do you base this on? John Edwards was not the mistake. We saw this happy little family thing and puddled up. An American trait. The happy little family thing did not exist, and the Band of Brothers turned out to hate you almost as much as you seem to hate them. I was a mother during all of that business. Had three little hippy children, now grown. They all work hard at jobs and raising kids and teaching respect as of old, and like others in my family, fight the War on Terror. They believe that it is an honorable and patriotic thing. They haven't a clue as to what Kerry is talking about. They do not think about the peace movement ... they worry instead about their golf games or home projects, just taking care of their little part of the American Dream. John Kerry really believes that he is this elder statesman. That his words are profound. I used to laugh at Dan Quail for the same thing. Get over yourself before we have to figure our way around another botched joke.
