7/1/07 Monopoly Battle 2 of 2

How we're sitting.... I'll get out of jail tomorrow night as I've sat in jail for three rolls now. Where are those doubles when you really need them? See those 2 blue beauties there next to GO? Those are mine and they will become ladled with battalions that turn into regiments that turn into GOLD FOR ME! Yep, it's the old BOARDWALK. You can see that my cash flow is getting a little tight, but Greg is in hock up to his ears!

MY DEEDS OF PROPERTY. Greg didn't take a picture of his. (They're mostly all turned over anyway!)

This was fun, but it doesn't touch the bloodthirsty games that Lisa, Tonya and I used to play. We smoked cigars (pretend) and had names such as Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, and Sammy Davis, Jr. Yes, we were the high rollers of our day at ages 6 and 9. Still, fun stuff, and right now I'd say MY Boots are smoking!

And what'd you do for July 1, 2007?

I'm almost afraid to ask...is it Boots or Helmet? Or is the game, please remember that it is a game, ongoing? Nothing has been in the news, so I take that to mean that there have been no casualties in this little skirmish. GOOD LUCK, DE'ON!!! GOOD LUCK GREG!!! There are no favourites, okay, just please play fair...and don't give up!!!

Yea! My night buddy is out catching some early worms!! LOL!

The game is ongoing! And I forgot to write in my post how much fun I'm having with Greg being the Banker! I trade in some type of money for another type each turn I take--if possible.

"I'd like to buy a five hundred, please." Five minutes later, "I need to cash this in for one hundreds please!"

Maybe I'll begin to nest my one dollar bills to pay off the next rent on his mellow yellow property with battalions! Ooops, that wouldn't work. Not enough ones!

Yes. That's right. It's just a game. And it does move much faster than Scrabble! There is nothing quite like sitting for 2 hours each turn waiting for Greg to make a word out of x, q, z, and 2 a's as he tries to use all his letters for one word. It's worse than being the donkey-end of pin the tail!

I am so going to win this one. I do wish we had a couple others. We will die before either one of us will let one property go to the other so that one of us can improve our lots. So far, he has one, the yellow, I have one, the Blue Buck Lane (but have you noticed that no one ever lands on this as much as they do the yellow? What's up with that? I think we're at a gridlock on all but 2 others, and then of course, I still need my other Division.

But yes, it's just a game. Only a game.

LOL! That sounds so fun! I'm going to get me one of those. Oh How I love the Marines! I sat in front of my computer the other day watching all these marine video's on you tube for hours. Good luck De'on, win one for the girls!

De'on, I am getting such a giggle out of your game! I can play some games with Will, but I can't play chess with him. I get too upset when I lose. At least in a board game, I have a chance. ;)

Diane, glad I'm not the only one who can while away the hours on YouTube.

Oh, and ALL 3 of Crosby's friends who are now Marines are going to be here for the 4th!! I'm so excited! One is here already, and the other 2 are coming in tonight (Crosby is heading to the airport now). I hope I can get them to stand still long enough for me to get a picture. It's a miracle that they are all here at the same time. They are stationed in NC, California, and Quantico.

SFM, give all those Marines a big hug from me! I can imagine how much food you'll be cooking on the 4th...LOL

You can play chess, SFM? I'm impressed and if you get mad then I'm really impressed! Competitive! Yea SFM! And that is awesome (and truly a miracle) that all of them will be together! Oh, I know the good times are happening as I write!

Greg and I went to bed at 8:00 last night!! Had a bunch of stuff to do today so I'm just hitting the computer. Withdrawals! ;)

Diane, I know you want to be at SFM looking at the Marines! Maybe she'll shoot a few videos of her own.
